Creating A Web Site

1. You will need to register a domain name. The domain name is the name that identifies your web site, for example, this web site's domain name is MarketingBlast.com.

2. You will need web hosting. Web hosting involves getting access to a specially configured computer which can store your web pages and other web site content.
   
   While it is possible (if you have a good permanent connection to the Internet) to configure your own computer to do this, it is easy to simply rent space on a web hosting company's computers - in this case, the web hosting company deals with much of the hard technical stuff involved in configuring the computer and so on.

3. You are now ready to start designing your web site. If you don't know how to this, you can find tutorials and other resources to help you listed on our Web Design resources page.
   
   
4. After you prepare each of your web pages, you need to copy ("upload") them from your own PC (where you designed them), to your web host's computers. Your web host should be able to provide you with instructions on this process.
   
   
5. Your web site should now be up and running, and you (and other people) should be able to view it in a web browser.
   
   
6. You are now ready to start making money and starting promoting your web site.
   
   Of course, it may help, if you plan ahead, and have at least some money-making and promotion ideas, right from the start, even before you start creating your site.
